On the adopta-a-school program with Banning Unified School District I have been appointed to Hemmerling Elementary School and the Maintenance , Operations and Transportation. We will be invited to special events for our assigned adopted school. I recently read to students and their families at Central Elementary School Family Reading night.

I recently toured the New Horizons model school. This is an amazing school that enjoys 97% attendance. I have requested a city proclamation for Jayne Dean who was chosen “State Teacher of the Year” for the 2008 and 2009 school year. She will give a speech at the CCEA conference that will be held on May 1st through the 3rd.
